Sometimes, we can go through challenging times in our lives or experience extremely distressing situations, which leave us feeling stuck, helpless, and hopeless. In other cases, trauma or hardship experienced in our early years can continue to affect the quality of our lives in the present day. Whatever the content or nature of these experiences, they can have a detrimental impact on our mental states and levels of well-being and clarity.
I offer therapy and relationship coaching in a safe, confidential environment where problematic beliefs, behaviours, feelings, relationship issues and any other areas of concern can be explored with a view to resolution and lasting change.
I completed my professional training as a Humanistic and Integrative Practitioner at the Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute in Nottingham, UK, and I am a fully qualified, registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy. As such, I adhere to the BACP’s ethical code and framework for best practice. After completing my three year degree qualification with a first class honours, I pursued an additional course in coaching. On-going training, personal development, and supervision form an integral part of my life, and contribute greatly to the quality of my work, and the service I deliver.
I have extensive experience of working with a broad range of issues in a variety of settings, including anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, sexual, emotional and physical abuse, low self-esteem, self-harm, personality disorders, divorce, bereavement, and relationship issues to name a few. Alongside my private practice, I am also the Service Manager of a local, city based organisation that offers counselling and psychotherapy across the region.
I am passionate about the work I do. I love connecting with my clients and helping them to achieve what matters to them most, one powerful conversation at a time.
Sessions can take place in person, over the telephone, or on Skype.
